Biography
Larry Wade
Wade observed his younger friend Virgil Hawkins suffering a severe physical beating at the hands of a local gang leader named Martin "Biz Money B" Scaponi. Intervening directly to protect his friend, Larry Wade drove off the attackers and took Virgil under his custody to discuss the ongoing threat. Fearing that Virgil would become a permanent target for local violence, Larry Wade provided his young friend with a functional firearm and instructed him on how to utilize it for personal defense. He subsequently informed Virgil of a massive, upcoming gang showdown scheduled to take place at the city docks, strongly advising him to attend the event to permanently eliminate Scaponi. While Virgil proceeded to the location with the weapon, Larry Wade chose to abstain from attending the actual dockside confrontation, which inadvertently saved him from being caught in the chemical explosion known as the Big Bang that altered the city. Personality and attributes
In appearance, Larry Wade was an African-American human male teenager who possessed a notably tough, sturdy, and older physical build compared to his high school classmates. He possessed short, cleanly cropped dark hair, sharp facial features, and a confident, street-smart expression that conveyed his personal resilience. His everyday wardrobe consisted of standard, casual early-1990s urban civilian attire tailored for life in Dakota City. He wore loose-fitting clothing including a heavy jacket appropriate for cool evening weather, paired with baggy denim trousers and durable, flat-soled athletic sneakers designed to facilitate rapid movement and traversal across rough city streets. Powers and abilities
Larry Wade was born a member of the human race, which meant that on a basic level, he possessed entirely ordinary human biological traits, lacked any intrinsic metahuman attributes, and was bound by standard human physical limitations. He possessed no formal martial arts or military tactical training, relying entirely on his raw street smarts, neighborhood reputation, and physical toughness to navigate hostile urban environments. His primary capabilities were rooted entirely in his baseline human strength, protective instincts, and personal assertiveness, allowing him to successfully intimidate street level threats and look out for his younger peers. Furthermore, he possessed functional knowledge regarding the possession and basic operation of small civilian firearms, enabling him to procure weaponry and provide basic instructional advice under high-stakes defensive scenarios.
