History
The Laws of Magic were a set of rules created by the White Council that governed the use of magic in the world.
Overview
There were Seven Laws of Magic that were:
- Thou Shalt Not Kill :
- Thou Shalt Not Transform Others :
- Thou Shalt Not Invade the Mind of Another :
- Thou Shalt Not Enthrall Another :
- Thou Shalt Not Reach Beyond the Borders of Life :
- Thou Shalt Not Swim Against the Currents of Time :
- Thou Shalt Not Open the Outer Gates :
Those that regularly harmed others through magic became gradually twisted by their experience where they became more power-hungry over time as well as increasingly insane until there was no humanity left in them. Those wizards that fell to the corruptive influences of magic came to be termed as warlocks. Violation of the Laws of Magic carried the death penalty that was overseen by a Warden of the White Council who passed the sentence where they decapacitated the offending person with a sword.
