History
Libra (Japanese: ライブラ, Hepburn: Raibura)
In a city engulfed by a supernatural mist, the organization known as Libra operated as a clandestine group dedicated to maintaining the balance between the human world and the beyond. During their initial activities, members of the group intercepted a high-stakes situation involving a demonic threat that had breached the city's perimeter. Klaus Von Reinherz utilized his blood-based combat arts to seal a powerful entity, creating physical crosses of energy to restrain the target. Meanwhile, other associates managed the perimeter and gathered intelligence on the specific nature of the breach. The group intervened when a newcomer was caught in the crossfire of a biological exchange, eventually identifying the individual's possession of the All-Seeing Eyes of the Gods. Libra members engaged in high-speed combat and utilized specialized blood-manipulation techniques to dismantle an extremist plot that threatened to destabilize the city's fragile peace. By the conclusion of the event, the organization had neutralized the immediate supernatural threat, secured the powerful artifact housed within the newcomer's eyes, and formally inducted the individual into their ranks to assist with future containment efforts.
Overview
In appearance, Libra was a clandestine and highly specialized paramilitary organization that operated with a blend of formal professionalism and individualistic eccentricity. The group functioned as a secret society composed of individuals with superhuman attributes, maintaining a structured yet chaotic internal dynamic while operating out of a fortified, nondescript office building within Hellsalem's Lot. Their primary goals and objectives centered on the preservation of the terrestrial world's equilibrium by preventing supernatural anomalies and Beyond entities from catastrophic interference with human society. They acted as a self-appointed peacekeeping force, dedicated to containing breaches, neutralizing high-level threats, and ensuring that the city's unique position as a gateway between dimensions did not result in global collapse. Regarding their clothing and costumes, the members wore varied but generally formal or functional attire that reflected their specific roles. The leadership favored structured, three-sided suits and waistcoats, suggesting a high level of formality, while others wore tactical gear, long coats, or casual street clothes integrated with specialized equipment for blood-based combat. These garments were often designed to facilitate their unique fighting styles, allowing for easy access to weaponry or the drawing of blood required for their techniques.
Due to its nature, knowledge of its members was kept a close secret as any being was willing to sell this information to unscrupulous parties or some individuals may even attempt to take down Libra themselves.
The members of Libra demonstrated a variety of specialized combat skills and supernatural attributes rooted in the manipulation of blood and heightened physical prowess. The leadership utilized a discipline known as Brain Grid Blood Battle Works, which allowed for the manifestation of large, physical crosses created from the user's own blood to seal away enemies or strike with concussive force. Another operative displayed mastery of the Big Dipper Blood Fighting Style, using blood to create razor-sharp threads or blades capable of slicing through armored targets and igniting into flames upon contact. The group exhibited high-level marksmanship and the ability to move at speeds that surpassed human perception, enabling them to intercept projectiles and navigate chaotic urban environments during combat. Additionally, the team utilized advanced sensory capabilities to track supernatural signatures and identify the specific weaknesses of entities from the Beyond. One member demonstrated the capacity to regenerate or endure significant physical trauma while maintaining offensive momentum. These abilities were supplemented by the use of specialized equipment and a deep knowledge of arcane biology, allowing the group to neutralize threats that were immune to conventional military weaponry.
Libra's headquarters was a large skyscraper located within Hellsalem's Lot that had a high degree security system. This included technological and mystical defences that could place he entire building on lockdown. In this state, mystical wards activated based on the state of security that incinerated any targets that attempted to break into the structure.
