Lieutenant Groves

Lt. Groves was a Royal Navy lieutenant who served under Commodore Norrington. He was with the Commodore when Jack Sparrow and Will Turner stole the Interceptor, and commented that Sparrow was the best pirate he'd ever seen. Later he went with Norrington and Governor Swann to track down Sparrow and Turner in order to rescue the Governor's daughter. Groves participated in, and survived, the battle against the undead pirates aboard the Dauntless at Isla De Muerte.

Later, he served alongside Lt. Greitzer on board the East India Trading Company vessel the Endeavor under Lord Cutler Beckett. When the tide of the final battle against the Black Pearl and the Flying Dutchman turned against Beckett, Groves accompanied Greitzer and the other officers when they abandoned ship, leaving Beckett to get destroyed along with his ship.
