History

The Lumineth Realm-lords were Aelven faction who lived in Hysh that was the realm of light among the Mortal Realms. Their origins lay during the Age of Myth when the gods Malerion, Teclis, Tyrion and Morathi worked together to trap Slaanesh of the Chaos Gods. Once ensnared, they began the work of freeing the aelf souls that were trapped within the them where Teclis and Tyrion decided to settle those souls they claimed in the Realm of Hysh. The first of the aelven souls came to be known as the Idoneth but their time within Slaanesh deeply affected them both physically and spiritually. In fact, they were close to the point of madness and their offspring were born with withering souls. In his grief, Teclis nearly destroyed them all but Tyrion stayed his hand allowing the Idoneth to flee to the deepest darkest places that they could find in the realms. The gods then decided to continue their work in saving the souls of the aelven people from Slaanesh with these ranging in appearance but the most stable and sane of these became the Lumineth.

Overview

In appearance, the Lumineth were an incredibly sophisticated and martial race of aelves.

The armies of the Realm-lords were noted for being among the deadliest in the Mortal Realms whose warriors and mages skills were enhanced beyond normal through aetherquartz. The Lumineth waged war with peerless coordination that was epitomised by their spearmen phalanxes and swift cavalry formations that efficiently worked together to overcome foes that outnumbered them. Their mages were able to unleash elemental magic to bring down destruction to ruin their enemies. Lumineth Realm-lords followed the peerless martial prowess of Tyrion and enlightened teachings of Teclis that guided their actions on the battlefield that made them embody the art of war.

Vanari Auralan Wardens were spear phalanxes that served as a mainstay of a Lumineth battleline. It was said that they fought with a sense of synergy and grace that was lacking among the lesser races. They made use of sunmetal tips on their spears that flared with solar energies that they had absorbed and was able to tear through armour, flesh as well as bone. This allowed the Wardens to skewer attackers which they did with lethal precision. High Wardens led these officers and led them phalanx's from the rear with them identified by their back-banners. From their position, they directed their warriors and channelled the magic of Hysh into their enchanted weapons.

The pinnacle of the Lumineth were the twin aelven gods of Hysh.

Half-moons were associated with Teclis and represented the half-moons that once were a symbol of the long-dead deity Lileath.

The Lumineth were regarded as being the masters of magic.

The home of the Lumineth was a symmetrical realm that was divided into the Ten Paradises that remained beautiful places formed seemingly from mathematical precision and were dotted with stunning vistas of symbolism and symmetry.

Each of the Ten Paradises was noted for having its own culture and practices. Iliatha had a matriarchal society and was the most populous of the Realm-lord's nations due to their use of magical cloning.

Unique to their realm was the Hyshian realmstone known as aetherquartz that had unusual properties. The Lumineth came to discover to reflect the endless power of Hysh through the stone in order to empower their body, mind and soul. Though it offered illumination, the crystal eventually grew dim over time and drained the emotions of their wearer in an effort to restore their inner light. Despite such a cost, the Lumineth were willing to make such sacrifices in order to attain perfection and reasoned that the price was an easy one to pay as emotions was a path to corruption and Slaanesh.
