History

Lusitania (ルシタニア Rujitania?)

Archpriest Bodin thus commanded the Temple Knights to depart the capital where they made their way to Zabul Fortress and occupied it. It was believed that they were assembling their own power base with the intention of challenging the king and instituting their own demands on him. To combat this threat, Prince Guiscard requested from Lord Silver Mask to deal with the danger with the general assembling an army of Parsians under his command who made their way to Zabul. Their skill and strategy allowed them to decimate the ranks of the Temple Knights and take the fortress though Bodin escaped leaving his men to be massacred.

Overview

Leadership of the kingdom lay in the hands of the Emperor. Certain high ranking members in the kingdom held titles such as Counts.

A central religion within the kingdom was that of the Faith of Yaldabaoth. It preached the existence of a single deity known as Yaldabaoth that was the one and only God. According to it, members of the faith believed that all men were equal if they worshipped their God. As such, they did not believe in the concept of slavery and professed to look towards freeing those that served as slaves. Followers of faith were known to commit suicide rather than allow themselves to be defeated by heathens. Though professing peace, the religion stated that mercy was not to be shown towards heathens who were to be killed or converted to the faith. The Faith of Yaldabaoth was written in a book that was given to its adherents with it stated that it taught many good morals to its worshippers. However, devotees believed that they were compelled to wage war against heathens who were expected to be killed or converted to the faith. It was held by some that this religion was actually twisted by the leaders of Lusitania to allow them to direct wars against others and to fulfil political ambitions.

One division of the military was that of the Temple Knights that consisted of a company of 3,000,000 warriors who were dedicated in the service to their God. They were considered one of the three great forces of Lusitania and were zealous fanatical soldiers more loyal to the priesthood rather than the ruler of the kingdom.
