Biography
As a result, he was institutionalised following the events of the Holiday Killer where he was held at a facility in Chicago. However, he was eventually released and returned to Gotham City to head the Falcone family where it was said that he had become every bit the mobster as his father. By this point, his niece Kitrina Falcone came to reside at Mario's home. (Batman v1 #692) During this time, the Falcone family under his direction were staging a number of strikes against Black Mask and his False Face Society. (Batman v1 #693)

- In Gotham, Mario Calvi appeared in the live-action television series where he was portrayed by actor James Carpinello. He was the son of Don Carmine Falcone with his mother before her death asking his father to keep their child away from the family's criminal business. Carmine agreed and Mario ended up growing up under his family's maiden name with him becoming a doctor. He later met Leslie Thompkins with the two entering into a relationship after she had broken up with James Gordon.
