Meganulon
The Meganulons were a species of giant prehistoric insect.

The Meganulons infested the coal mines of Kitamatsu, brutally killing the unfortunate miners. Their hard carapace made them immune to gunfire and they have huge, powerful pincers and mandibles; they were also adept swimmers. All of the Meganulons were presumably eaten by Rodan when he hatched from his egg.
Millennium
Larval form of the Meganula, a species of giant prehistoric insect which was unleashed on the present day due to side effects of the Dimension Tide weapon. The Meganula were carried as eggs to Tokyo by a young boy, who disposed of them by dumping them in the sewers. The Meganulons hatched, and soon swarmed across the city, attacking hapless citizens for food. Soon, they metamorphosed into their mature stage.
