Biography
Mary Kowalski
It was said that she had graduated at the top of her class at Ivy University. At some point, she was noted for being an employee of Helios Robotics. She came to live a mundane and unhappy life during these years. It was shown that she went to work where she was simply told to do her job and came back to be with her partner Matsuda though there was no joy in their time together. The only excitement she got was listening to videos posted by Master Wyze who spoke about how society demanded people to conform to a specific purpose. Thus, societal demands dictated how a person thought and if they did not comply then they were vilified as an outcast. As such, he stated that it gave the illusion of freedom but in fact imprisoned people on a set path with this striking a cord with Mary. Wyze offered an alternative path that was the rejection of the 'sane world' and down a path he labelled as 'unsanity' that would allow a person to truly be happy. She later watched the news about an explosion at city hall as part of an attack where she knew that the authorities would blame this on the Unsanity Collective. Miracle Molly suggested that they prevent being turned into scapegoats by reaching out and getting in touch with Batman. However, her compatriots instead believed that they should rely on themselves and evacuate their base. She was taking the last gear out of their base and was about to leave with Squeek when she was surrounded by police headed by Peacekeeper-01. He was part of the new Magistrate initiative orchestrated by Saint Industries who were working alongside Mayor Nakano's administration to deploy enhanced super-cops to help protect Gotham. Personality and attributes
Originally, she was believed to had been a blonde haired woman named Mary Kowalski. After joining the Unsanity Collective, she took the name Miracle Molly after finding it on her notebook with this actually having been her handle on online forums. (Batman Secret Files: Miracle Molly v1 #1)
Her dream in her old life was to be a designer and inventor in the field of cybernetics and programming. Whilst at Helios, she had planned to be promoted to a more creative role so that she could do the kind of work she had always wanted to do in her life. (Batman Secret Files: Miracle Molly v1 #1)
Thus, unsanity was deemed the only path towards true freedom in Gotham City. This saw her embracing the Unsanity Collective and having the memories of her past erased so that she could become the purest and truest expression of herself. (Batman Secret Files: Miracle Molly v1 #1)
The wealthy were targeted and their riches were taken in order to fund the enhancements for the next generation of her collective. (Batman Secret Files: Miracle Molly v1 #1)
In her old life, she was once involved with a man named Matsuda whose father was a wealthy figure in Gotham named Hiro who headed a law firm that represented rich clients. It was known that Matsuda had a stepmother who he did not get along with at the time. Mary and Matsuda had discussed having children at one point though she wanted to find fulfilment in work before considering starting a family. (Batman Secret Files: Miracle Molly v1 #1)

Originally, Mary Kowalski was an ordinary human being with no special abilities though she was noted for having a brilliant mind with her graduating at the top of her class at Ivy University. She later came to be an employee at Helios Robotics where she worked as an engineer on a number of projects involving cybernetics. (Batman Secret Files: Miracle Molly v1 #1)
Her cybernetic left eye was able to scan a person to discern if they had any weapons on them. (Batman Secret Files: Miracle Molly v1 #1)
To protect herself, she kept a taser hidden on her person that she could use to stun a person. (Batman Secret Files: Miracle Molly v1 #1)

- Miracle Molly was created by James Tynion IV · Jorge Jiménez where he made his first appearance in Batman Vol 3 #106 (May, 2021).
- In an interview on SyFy.com, Tynion commented on the character, "She's the sort of rogue that I love writing in that she's not evil... but with Miracle Molly, she's a person. She is a person who's trying to make the most of her life and trying to make Gotham City better and trying to reclaim the future for herself and other people. And she's willing to go very far in pursuit of those goals and then ultimately we will see her push further than Batman is comfortable with. She is a character who's never going to just be a member of the Bat-Family or something like that. She is someone who is ideologically opposed from Batman, but who Batman is going to have this [feeling of], 'You're so close to believing in the things that would make you part of the Bat mission.' And she thinks the same thing, it's like, 'You guys need to stop doing what you're doing and join us. And that's how we'll make change in the city.' I'm excited for people to see how the story plays out over the course of this larger Scarecrow narrative. And then I have some plans for where her story goes after this arc as well."
