Biography

Miranda Frost was a female human born in the modern age where by adulthood she came to had been educated at Harvard. She was also a gold medal-winning Olympic fencer (trained by Madonna's character, Verity) posing as Graves' publicist and fencing partner. She won gold (in the fictional James Bond world) at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Her MI6 assignment is to find out what sinister plans he may be hiding. She is sent by M to work alongside Bond, but is not happy about it. She would rather go it alone and does not approve of Bond's methods. While James Bond is sent to kill North Korean Colonel Tan-Sun Moon, Miranda secretly sends Bond's true identity to Moon's right-hand man, Zao. This leads to Bond's imprisonment at a North Korean torture camp, where he is brutally interrogated for 14 months before being exchanged for a captive Zao. When caught by Mr. Kil and his minions, Miranda helps Bond keep incognito by kissing him. They later spend the night together in Miranda's suite to keep up the pretense that they are lovers. When Bond awakens and goes after Graves, Miranda pleads for him not to go, but he insists. Later when Bond faces Graves at gunpoint, Frost arrives as well, also aiming her gun at Graves. However, Graves asks Bond whether he already found out who betrayed him in North Korea, prompting Miranda to aim her gun at Bond, revealing that she was the one who betrayed Bond. 007 attempts to kill her, but realizes that his weapon is empty. While in bed together, Miranda had taken the opportunity to empty his Walther P99.

However, when Bond is about to be caught spying around the ice palace in Iceland, she pretends to be Bond's lover by kissing him in order to avoid blowing both their covers. They then escape and go back to Bond's room, where they have sex. It is later revealed that she is the sought-after traitor who partnered with Colonel Moon in the West and compromised Bond's identity during his mission to kill the dictator, which resulted in his capture. According to M she discovered that Frost and Moon were both teammates on the Harvard fencing team. On board Graves's plane, Giacinta 'Jinx' Johnson kills her by stabbing her in the chest with a knife skewered through Sun Tzu's The Art of War.
