Mitochondrion Investigation and Suppression Team, also known as MIST, was a crack unit that featured in the second Parasite Eve game.
History
This branch of the FBI was formed after the end of the Mitochondrial crisis that started with the second Eve who was in the body of Melissa Pierce. To combat the threat of such creatures, the FBI created MIST to serve as a specialist combat unit capable of dealing with the enhanced mitochondrial lifeforms.
Background
MIST base of operations was in Los Angeles and its purpose was to hunt down and destroy any remaining NMCs that survived.
