Moder is a creature that features in The Ritual.

History

Moder was an ancient entity referred to as a god that was held as being one of the Jötunn and a bastard offspring of the Norse deity Loki. It came to reside in a forest in Northern Sweden where it came to be worshipped and venerated by an group of cultists for centuries.

Overview

In appearance, the creature was an entity that resembled a four legged monstrous being with horns and an inhuman facial features.

Notes

  • Moder was created by Adam Nevill where it featured in the setting of The Ritual.
  • In the movie adaptation, the entity was simply referred to as the Creature and was not given a name.
