Biography
Amanda
A bright young student, Monster Girl, was set to graduate high school at a young age. But while on her senior trip to Europe she fell in love with a young gypsy boy. Because she disapproved of their relationship, the boy's grandmother cast a curse on the girl. It was not until she was on the plane ride home that the girl discovered the effects of the curse. She hid in the plane's lavatory as the curse changed her body. After learning to control how the curse had changed her, she put her new abilities to use as the hero, Monster Girl.
After many transformations, Monster Girl noticed that her monster forms were becoming larger but that her human form was growing younger. Upset by her condition and her inability to stop the transformations, she began to use her powers recklessly and carelessly. When Monster Girl arrived at the Guardians of the Globe tryouts, she had the mind of a 29-year-old but the body of a 14-year-old. After gaining membership and proving her worth, Robot commits himself to finding a cure for her affliction.
When Monster Girl joined the Guardians of the Globe she befriended her teammate Robot. After his change to his new body, whose younger form was more age appropriate, the two grew even closer. After a series of failed attempts, Robot discovers the problem with her transformations using his intelligence and builds her a belt that corrects her transformations and solves her de-aging problem, seemingly allowing her to transform into her Monster form and revert to her human form without de-aging.
Overview
Personality and attributes
When in her other form, she was noted to be biologically male where she was a large muscular monster-like creature. As a result of her curse, she came to operate by the name of Monster Girl.
Her human form caused others to underestimate her and mistake her for being a child.
Powers and abilities
As the result of a curse, Monster Girl has the power to transform into a large, and powerful monster who is superhumanly strong and durable. The monster form is biologically male. This means that every time Amanda shifts from her true form to her monster form, she is also changing her biological sex. and Amanda is capable of impregnating women with her own children. Proof of this is the fact that Amanda had fathered a child during an affair she had with a woman in the Flaxian dimension. Another side effect of the curse occurred every time Monster Girl transformed. Every time she transforms from monster to human an error occurs in the bodies reconstruction and she comes back a little younger. On the other hand, every time she changes from human to monster form, her monster self is larger and stronger than before. This problem has been fixed by a special belt made for Monster Girl by her teammate Robot.
As an attempt to circumvent the problem of her aging for a time Monster Girl wore the vacant armor of Black Samson. This armor increased her strength, sported powerful projectile weapons and was capable of self-sustained flight. It was destroyed during the confrontation with the being Omnipotus.
