Mouth of Sauron

The Mouth of Sauron was a human in the service of the Dark Lord Sauron. Once a Black Numenorean who rose in service of his evil master and became a great sorceror. So long he lived, he forgot his own name and simply became known as the Mouth of Sauron, as he would speak and act as an emissary for his master. By the time of the War of the Ring, he had become the Lieutenant of Barad-dur.

When the Armies of the West marched towards the Black Gates of Mordor, the Mouth of Sauron was sent forth to parley and create discord and despair, forcing them to believe that Frodo Baggins had been captured and tortured to death.

The Mouth of Sauron was killed in the fall of Mordor.
