Mrs. Hawkins

Mrs. Hawkins was the landlady of the Soho apartment building where Edward Hyde and Ivy Pearson lived. She knew of Hyde's abusive treatment of Ivy, but like everyone else was terrified of the man. Sympathetic to Ivy's plight, she warned her that Hyde would kill her one day, and after Poole brought money from Dr. Jekyll, it was Mrs. Hawkins' idea that Ivy see Jekyll for help in getting rid of Hyde. This backfired, and Hyde murdered Ivy in revenge. The police summoned in response to Ivy's screams, a tearful Mrs. Hawkins told the constables the name of Ivy's killer, making Hyde a wanted man.
