Mu (RahXephon)

The Mu are a humanoid race that features in RahXephon.

History

The Mu (Japanse: ムー, Hepburn: Mū)

By the end of 2012, two of the Mu floating cities appeared above Tokyo and Sendai leading to conflict with the humans. The resultant conflict escalated into nuclear warfare where the Mu proceeded to envelop Tokyo along with the outlying suburbs within a spherical barrier whose exterior resembled the surface of Jupiter.

Overview

In appearance, Mu resembled humans and were visually indistinguishable from them. They even bled red blood but they contained a genetic marker known as the Mu phase that activated when they reached maturity. At that point, their blood turned blue but some began to experience losses in their memory.

One of their noted weapons were the Dorems (ドレム, Doremu?) that were mecha superweapons used against their enemies. They were shown to be constructed of a clay-like substance that was animated by quasi-mystical force which was connected to music. The Mulians were shown to be capable of controlling the Dorems through singing where the pilot was called an instrumentalist where they were capable of unleashing force waves that caused massive destruction.

• Maya Kamina : a female Mulian who was the sister of Kuon Kisaragi where she was a powerful leader of her people and came to be the adoptive mother to Ayato Kamina.
• Kuon Kisaragi : a female Mulian who was the sister of Maya Kamina and the genetic provider of both Ayato Kamina and Itsuki Kisaragi.

• The Mu were created by Takeaki Momose where they featured in the setting of the Mu universe.
