Biography
Nathan Hale Bridger
He had served in the U.S. Navy for over thirty years; during which time he served with William Noyce and Manilow Crocker. Bridger had also trained at the Naval Academy with Scott Keller, however, Keller elected to head for the space program while Bridger remained in the navy.

- Nathan Bridger was created by Rockne S. O'Bannon and was portrayed by actor Roy Scheider where he featured in the setting of seaQuest DSV.
- Scheider was the driving force behind the show but was noted to had become displeased with the direction of the series during the second season and the "episodic" nature of the series as he believed that the show should contain long-running story and character arcs and chose to exit the series at the end of the second season.
