History
The Nomads were a parasitic alien species that were created by an elder race known as the Dom'Kavash. This ancient civilization once controlled a large empire long ago and were based in the Sirius Sector but at some point vanished. Among the only remains of their civilization were the various pieces of technology they left behind and the Nomads that served as caretakers of their abandoned territory.
Following mankind's settlement of the Sirius Sector, explorers from Rheinland surveyed the Omicron Major system and landed on its surface. This act awakened the Nomads who underwent their programming to eliminate any invading species that arrived in the territory of their masters. The explorers were possessed by the parasitic aliens who used them as a means of infiltrating the Rheinland government. Thus, they began a campaign of covert infiltration which later saw one of their kind arriving on Liberty where it infected a military officer. This act was witnessed by a soldier named Orillion who saw his commanding officer taken over by an alien entity and thus saw him escaping. Orillion become one of the first humans aware of the Nomad threat and he established a secret society known as the Order to combat this threat from the shadows. In 800 A.S., a human had acquired a Dom'Kavash artifact and brought it to Freeport 7 but this was destroyed by the Nomads though their involvement in the incident was not known to the general human populace.

They were described as being an opportunistic parasitic species of not only host bodies but technology.
Though an advanced alien species, the Nomads were shown to be unable to destroy mankind overtly as they were a powerful force to combat. As such, they resorted to infiltration as a means of destroying humanity from within whilst they operated from the shadows.

- Florian Gustav Niemann : a male Rheinland human that had become possessed by a Nomad and risen to the post of Chancellor who was part of the plot to infect Liberty President Jacobi.
- Tekagi : a male Kusari nobleman Lord who had risen to the post of Governor and came into possession of the Proteus Tome but was killed by Order agents Edison Trent and Ozu.
