Octalus

The Monster is a large creature that features in Deep Rising.

History

One such creature attacked cruise ship Argonautica's where it used its many tentacles to digest the crew while it nested within the center of the ship where it spat out the skeletal remains.

At first, the Humans that were being preyed on believed that the monster were actually multiple worm-like beasts.

Overview

The massive creature is a massive multi-tentacled monster that resembles an octopus that resides in the depths of the sea and rarely surfaces.

The monsters many tentacles were capable of splitting upon and devouring a full grown Human where they were digested with acids and spat out leaving only the skeleton. The creature was quite intelligent and was able to herd its prey into traps and deadends.
