Biography

Nolan Grayson was a male member of the Viltrumite race where he was the son of Argall and was born on his homeworld of Viltrum.

He arrived on Earth in the 1980's where he met Cecil Stedman and wanted to learn more about human culture. This saw him adopting a human guise of Nolan Grayson that was to be his secret identity whilst he appeared more human. During this time, he came to save the life of a woman named Debbie with the two entering into a relationship and getting married. In addition, Cecil came to set up Nolan to be a superpowered protector of Earth where he became Omni-Man who was the newest and most powerful hero on the planet. Afterwards, he came to marry Debbie where she became pregnant with his son who the couple named Mark Grayson. In the following years, he came to battle various supervillains and encountered the Guardians of the Globe who were the Earth's premiere team of superheroes. He had been invited to join their ranks but refused though despite that he would work with them on several occasions. Nolan later met Art Rosebaum who was the maker of superhero costumes with him being responsible for making the Omni-Man costume. Whilst on Earth, he came to tell all his human friends a fake story about his arrival on Earth and hid his true mission from them. (Invincible v1 #11)

As Omni-Man, Nolan continued battling supervillains as he defended the Earth whilst he raised his son Mark. By this point, he maintained a fake version of his origin that he told his family. (Invincible v1 #2) In high school, Mark came to finally manifest his powers leading to Nolan introducing him to Art Rosebaum who helped make a costume for him as he became the superhero Invincible. (Invincible v1 #1)

He then tricked the Guardians of the Globe into gathering by sending a fake emergency signal where he then ambushed and killed them. (Invincible v1 #7) Omni-Man hid his involvement in their death when the authorities found the superhero team dead and began an investigation into their murder. (Invincible v1 #8)
