History
Organization of the Zodiac (OZ) was a military organization that was considered a subsidiary of the Romefeller Foundation. It was created following the formation of the United Earth Sphere Alliance where it was known as the Special Mobile Suit (SMS) unit within the military.
Deployment of Mobile Dolls into the field was seen as a travesty against warfare as it turned to machines to fight human conflicts. This saw Treize Khushrenada publicly voicing his disapproval to the Romefeller Foundation who decided to have him removed from his post at the leader of OZ and confined to quarters. This saw many OZ soldiers rebelling against Romefeller as a result where they came to form a splinter organization that was known as the Treize Faction.
Overview
In appearance, the Organization of the Zodiac was a military branch of the Romefeller Foundation that consisted of elite and skilled Mobile Suit pilots known as the Specials.
