Paladins were a secret society that existed on the Earth who worked to find and locate Humans known as Jumpers. The purpose of this was to eliminate such as individuals as the Paladins believe that their teleportation abilitis make them too powerful and hence dangerous. This resulted in a secret war being fought between the two factions for decades.
