Biography
Piper Dali
Overview
Personality and attributes
After gaining her powers, she began to be referred to as Paper Doll. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #560) The newspapers came to refer to her as the Paper Doll Killer. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #561)
It was said that her speech was short and choppy with her making little gasps in-between. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #561)
Following the accident, her life was changed completely and she was considered a freak over the changes that happened to her body. The only comfort she had was watching television where she became obsessed with actor Bobby Carr. Such was her fixation on him that Piper believed that she and Bobby were meant to be together. As a result, she began to stalk him though was oblivious to her own behaviour. It was shown that she developed murderous tendencies to anyone that became romantically involved with Carr. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #561) She also targeted anyone that insulted him or looked to hurt him. Paper Doll claimed that everything she had done she had done for Carr. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #560)
Powers and abilities
Piper Dali was originally an ordinary human being with no inherent powers. This was until she accidentally exposed herself to her father's dimensional compressor. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #561) Paper Doll was able to become two-dimensional, resulting in her being as flat as a piece of paper. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #560) This led to her body being compressed with her mass being the same though it was noted that her lung capacity was greatly diminished. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #561)
She also has the power to envelop a person completely and suck them dry of all fluids, leaving them as flat as she is now. Victims rendered entirely two-dimensional from this die from diminished lung capacity; victims who are partially affected will recover over a period of hours. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #560)
Her powers allowed to blend into her surroundings with the effects being so extreme that it almost caused her to be virtually invisible. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #560) She was capable of switching between her 2D form and to a 3D one. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #561)
