Perpetua (DC)

Perpetua was a Super Celestial who created the first Multiverse to be self-sustaining weapon and she is the mother to the Monitor, the Anti-Monitor and the World Forger.

Biography

Eons ago The Source

Eons ago, Perpetua and her kinds the Super Celestials were sent by the Judges of the Source to create whole new systems of life throughout the Omniverse on which each of them were tasked to create Multiverses in the Justice format and then, moving on to create other Multiverses.

However, Perpetua had other darker and more selfish plans. Thus, she created a Multiverse, using the Hidden Forces and shaped tree beings from the Overvoid, Mar Novu, Mobius and Alpheus and assigned each of them to monitor the realms of positive, dark and antimatter.

Later, she started to search in all Universes in her Multiverse for beings rich in potential if harnessed correctly and found the Human and the Martian races on which she merged their both DNA together to create a race of Apex Predators meant to live and fight forever. However, she was confronted by her son, Mar Novu who learned that she wanted to end the Judges of the Source but she ordered to the Apex Predators to attack Mar Novu, forcing him to flee.

At some point, Mar Novu and his brothers alerted the Judges of the Source of the doings of Perpetua. However, Perpetua learned her sons' betrayal and appeared with her army before them, attacking them. Before the three brothers get overwhelmed by the army, a Cosmic Raptor appeared before them all, saying to Perpetua that she defied her function and twisted the scales of judgement toward selfish gain and doom and that the Multiverse will be set right and her locked away, forced to watch it grow without her guidance until the judgement of the Judges of the Source. Then, the raptor trapped her and the totality of her powers in the Source Wall and the Apex Predators were split apart, ending the threat.

Perpetua is cruel selfish and manipulative.

Powers and abilities

Perpetua is a godlike being of unlimited power. She can alter reality on a universal scale, having the ability to create and destroy almost everything from living beings to universes. Even asleep, planets form around her fingers and galaxies are born and die around her.

In addition, she possesses vast psychic abilities powerful enough to affect Darkseid. She also has some cosmic awareness powers as she can sense various events at once. She wields the Crisis Energy on which she can tap on the fears, anger and selfish desires of the people of her multiverse, allowing her to have some degree of control over the multiverse.

At full power, she can rearrange the multiverse into a self-sustaining weapon meant to live forever through a never ending loop of crisis events. Despite all her strength, her power cannot affect the beings from the dark multiverse and she can be weakened if the psychic balance of the multiverse tip to the favor of justice over doom.
