The Phlebiac Brothers were a group of demons that resided in the Eighth Sphere of Hell where they were servants of Malebolgia. (Spawn v1 #8)
Overview
In appearance, the Phlebiac Brothers were a male demon organization whose core elite members possessed highly distinct, monstrous, and non-humanoid physical builds due to their unique infernal biology. The group contained individual members with wildly varied body types, starting with Violator, who possessed a slender, emaciated blue-grey physical frame featuring a massive single horn protruding from his back and large red compound eyes. Vindicator featured a green-grey skin tone wrapped across a similarly gaunt physical structure with pronounced eyebrows, while the massive Vaporizer towered over the group with a colossal, heavily muscled orange hide covered in sharp bony ridges. Vandalizer possessed a squat, broad-shouldered bestial frame with a brown, leathery hide, and Vacillator occupied the absolute lowest rank with a tiny, frail, and hunchbacked yellow physique that constantly shook. The five entities completely eschewed traditional garments, choosing to remain completely naked to fully expose their raw claws, pointed talons, multi-faceted skulls, and jagged spinal columns based on their demonic heritage. They were a demonic group that were granted the basic biological traits of superhuman physical strength, total immunity to human diseases, and a highly advanced regenerative metabolism capable of regrowing entirely severed limbs. Their natural biology offered them immense physical durability that allowed them to easily survive high-impact blunt trauma, heavy artillery fire, and standard fatal wounds without experiencing cellular decay. They did not possess a unified scientific intellect, relying instead on shared supernatural traits including high-level telepathic communication, the ability to possess living human bodies, and absolute shapeshifting capabilities that allowed them to mimic ordinary mortals perfectly. Their collective combat capabilities allowed them to tear through modern military weaponry, manipulate hellfire directly from their talons, and open dimensional pathways to drag mortal souls down into the lower spheres of the afterlife.
