Biography
Origin
Bette Sans Souci
She later joined an organisation that commissioned an operation that genetically modified her to give her superpowers. Taking the name Plastique, she gained the ability to project explosive force from her body. (Firestorm v2 #34) Plastique was later part of a group who attempted to destroy the Canadian Parliament Buildings in Ottawa and the Statue of Liberty in New York City, as well as personally attempting the assassinations of the American President and Canadian Prime Minister. The bombings of the two landmarks were thwarted, and Plastique herself personally captured on live international television by Captain Atom. (Captain Atom v2 #2)

- Plastique was created by Gerry Conway and Pat Broderick where she made her first appearance in Firestorm v2 #7 (December, 1982).

Television
- In Justice League Unlimited, Plastique appeared in the setting of the animated television series set in the DC Animated Universe in the episode "Task Force X" where she was voiced by actress Juliet Landau. This version of the character was an explosives and demolition expert who could conceal explosives in her suit. She came to be recruited by Project Cadmus's Task Force X where they were tasked with stealing the Annihilator automaton from the Justice League's Watchtower. While the group succeeded, Plastique was abandoned after being caught in the explosion of one of her devices and left severely wounded, though Captain Atom attended to her injuries.
