Biography
Pogg Ur-Pogg was a mercenary beast native to the dark, demonic dimension of Amenth. (X of Swords: Stasis v1 #1)
In preparation for the tournament of Otherworld, he was recruited by the Horsemen of Apocalypse, War and Pestilence, who secured his services by offering valuable gemstones and promising vast plunder from Earth. Entering the contest as one of the chosen Swordbearers of Arakko, Pogg faced off against the mutant Magik in a series of strange challenges designed by the Omniversal Majestrix Opal Luna Saturnyne. He initially scored a point for his team by defeating Magik in an intense arm-wrestling match, leveraging the immense physical power of what appeared to be his native monstrous physiology. However, during a subsequent hand-to-hand rematch, Pogg made the mistake of swallowing Magik whole to end the fight. While trapped inside his gullet, Magik discovered that his gargantuan form was an elaborate biological facade. She violently dragged the real, tiny alien out of the pilot cavity and incapacitated him, exposing his closely guarded secret and losing the point for Arakko. (X of Swords: Stasis v1 #1)

In appearance, Pogg Ur-Pogg was a massive, twelve-foot-tall male hulking, prehistoric crocodile-like being. He was shown to possess a long snouted reptilian head, jagged teeth, and thick, scaly green plating along its spine. (X of Swords: Stasis v1 #1)
Powers and abilities
He had devastating superhuman strength and high-tier invulnerability, allowing him to easily overpower peak mutant athletes in contests of raw power.
