Prince Kro-Tan

Prince Kro-Tan is a male character from Defenders of the Earth.

Biography

In desperation after his repeated failures and the fact that the Defenders were coming for him, Kro-Tan turned to Zorelda's house. He desperately asked for her help but she claimed that she had no power but knew where he could get the help he needed. Kro-Tan agreed and gave Zorelda the molecules of his father willingly as it would give her the power she needed to help him. By relinquishing the molecules, she used the power within them to recreate the original overlord of Mongo and restored the disembodied mind of the spellcaster Suramong. A cowering Kro-Tan asked who he was and learnt of his origins whereupon he was imprisoned in the Mongo palace. In there, he saw the captured leaders of the Defenders of the Earth and informed them of Suramong as well as gave them tips on how to escape though they left him trapped in the prisons. When Suramong discovered this, he gave Kro-Tan a single chance to live which was by finding the Defenders. A scared Kro-Tan quickly agreed but was later frozen in a block of ice. When released, he discovered that his father Ming the Merciless was restored and Suramong defeated. A happy Kro-Tan was delighted to be free from Suramong's tyranny but was immediately scolded and dragged away by his father. (DotE: A Prince Dethroned)

Overview

Personality and attributes

Typically, Kro-Tan was cowardly in regards to more powerful enemies which meant that those who held dominance over him were capable of fearing for his life.

Powers and abilities

At one point, Kro-Tan had a number of supernatural powers given to him by the sorceress Zorelda. The first was the power of teleportation allowing him to transport himself from one planet to another. In addition to this, he had the power to telekinesis allowing him to move objects with his mind. His most dangerous aspect of this ability was the capacity to detonate small explosives the size of small chips that attached to enemies. A simple thought wave allowed him to detonate the explosives remotely. A further extension of this ability was the capacity to control a large space bound rocket through the use of special crystals. Kro-Tan also had the power of disguise allowing him to alter his appearance and form to masquerade as anyone.
