Biography

Zelda DuBois

At some point, Zelda was noted to have had a son named Daniel who she raised on her own. She made sure that he came to study at private schools. (Dark Reign: Young Avengers v1 #3) Whilst raising him, she kept her secret life as Princess Python a complete secret from him. (Dark Reign: Young Avengers v1 #4)

Princess Python was there when the Clown Franklin had joined the Circus of Crime. (Ghost Rider v2 #73)

After spending time in prison, the Circus of Crime was let go. After they were confronted by Spider-Man, the Great Gambonnos, Princess Python and Human Cannonball turned against Ringmaster, declaring the Clown their new leader in their own super villain team. Days later, they robbed an art gallery opening, though J. Jonah Jameson was badly wounded during the robbery. The villains had just decided on the team name Masters of Menace when Spider-Man attacked. During the fight, Princess tried using her femininity to convince Spider-Man not to fight, trusting he would not hit her. She tried flirting, removing his mask, turning him to their side and even hitting him with an electric prod but she eventually sent her large python, Precious, against him then was horrified when Spider-Man tied the snake in knots. Later, they were all arrested, including Ringmaster. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #22)

After getting out of jail, the Circus reformed and tried manipulating the disbanded Avengers consisting of Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver into joining them but the heroes turned on the villains. During the battle, Princess Python was defeated by the Scarlet Witch's hexes before she could summon Precious. (Avengers v1 #22)

Later on, the Circus members put together a plot to steal the Golden Bull. After the Circus auditioned strong men unsuccessfully, Princess saw Precious wrap himself around a man claiming to be Thor and had him tie the snake in knots, leading Princess to zap him with her electric prod. Ringmaster then hypnotized him to aid them in the theft. (Thor v1 #145) The Circus performed with Thor, who remained under hypnosis. Princess flirted with Thor and wanted to know his real name. That night, they robbed the local museum with Princess sneaking in with Precious, who restrained a guard before fleeing after getting hurt. All went according to plan until the guard's gunfire snapped Thor out of his trance. Princess was pinned against the wall when Thor dropped the Golden Bull. (Thor v1 #146) Thor freed Princess Python and she told the police he was innocent even as she escaped on Precious' back. She came to be worried about Thor as the Circus fled to safety. (Thor v1 #147)

Shortly afterwards, she aided the Circus in attacking the Avengers Mansion during the wedding of Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne. While the Princess' snake was vital both in the scheme and in its execution, the Circus was defeated and arrested, with the Princess being beaten by Van Dyne herself. (Avengers v1 #60)

The Circus of Crime, with new member Mike, who dressed as Thor, robbed an electronic store, stealing a valuable Dual Computer, which they then hid in a 5000-lb barbell. In a new costume, Princess Python, with Precious, saw Thor and realized that it wasn't Mike. While Princess Python performed with the Circus, a battle broke out between Thor and Ulik. When the police arrived, the Dual Computer was exposed and the Circus was arrested. When Princess tried to escape with a gun, Thor tied her up with Precious. (Thor v1 #173)
