Private Ehrich

Ehrich in the film.

Ehrich was a German soldier stationed on Navarone. He was on guard duty at the top of the cliff the night Keith Mallory and his team ascended. Mallory, noticing him, feigned a cry for help, which brought Ehrich over. He was then taken by surprise by Andrea, who had climbed up first. Andrea killed the German by stabbing him in his ribs and threw him off of the cliff. Later, Ehrich's sergeant and several other German soldiers came along, and found him, with the sergeant lamenting he'd warned Ehrich about the cliffs.
