Project Gateway

Project Gateway was an experimental research team that featured in The Adventures of Jonny Quest in the episode Other Space.

Background

The Gateway project was a scientific team that was created by the US government to develop faster-then-light travel, force fields and teleportation technology. Doctor Benton Quest was a noted consultant of the project and it was headed by Doctor Diana Cruise. Some of his theories were used in cheating the physical laws of time and space.

A prototype forcefield generator was a vital part of the project and the facility used a quantum lineator to power the facility which if destroyed was capable of creating an explosion that could destroy half the state it was located in. The highlight of it was the gateway itself as it possessed a device also that was capable of bridging a gap to another dimension.

History

He was called by the military to the project gateway centre where they create a portal to another dimension. However, the native energy beings of that realm attempted to use the doorway as a pathway to invading Earth. It was only through the Quest family was this stopped.
