Project Solo was the name of a scientific project and a character that featured in the movie Solo.

Overview

The Solo Project was an initiative made by the U.S. government with the intention of creating a mechanical soldier for use in war time. The product of the Project was a Human looking robot called Solo.

After being dispatched on a training mission, Solo did not complete his directive because he felt that Human life would be threatened. As a result of this, the military believed that the Project was to be decommissioned though the creator of Solo pleaded to attempt to reprogram him. This conversation was, however, heard by Solo through his electronic senses.

Going through his directives, Solo believed his life was in danger and thus took over a military helicopter and fled. He managed to survive pursuit and was left in the Central American jungles where he came across a village under the tyranny of mercenaries and pirates.

However, the U.S. military had by this time deployed a black ops unit to retrieve Solo or destroy him. After their failure, they came with reinforcement which was another robotic android known as Solo Mark II in the shape of the black op units commanding officer. Though facing an improved android and facing failure at first, Solo managed to destroy the enemy and continued to live life in the jungle.
