Project Sunset is an operation that features in Ghost in the Shell.
History
Project Sunset was a black ops covert mission conducted by the American Empire. It was during the last Earth World War and involved the deployment of guerilla soldiers in South America where they were tasked with befriending the locals. After which, the guerilla operatives would butcher the children and women in order to create an atmosphere of fear as well as terror among the natives.
Overview
Many of the soldiers suffered from psychotic tendencies as a result of the crimes they committed during the war with one engaging in brutal crimes against civilians after being discharged from the navy.
