Prysmos

Prysmos is a planet that was features in Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light.

History

During the First Age of Magic, there existed a race of mischevious and chaotic beings known as the Sun Imps who caused a great deal of chaos in that time. This led to the entire old world uniting to defeat them and sealing them within a tomb whereupon they were buried deep beneath the earth with the intention of them never being freed again. However, centuries later, geological phenomena such as earthquakes led to the tomb being unburied though the creatures themselves remained trapped within its dark chambers. (Ep: Dawn of the Sun Imps)

At some point, the First Age of Magic which led to the Age of Science and Technology arising. In this time, the power of magic was forgotten and humans on Prysmos began to develop remarkable advancements in technology to the point that they harnessed all energy on their world. This civilization lived an idyllic and peaceful existence where they enjoyed a life of comfort and ease for a period of 7,000 years. However, the realignment of the three suns of Prysmos led to a powerful energy wave that engulfed the world and prevented any form of technology from functioning as power no longer existed within them. Once al the electrical energy of the planet was depleted, a Second Age of Magic began though it took years before anyone believed magic. This time saw the old world order collapse leading to the rise of a new more primitive order form which consisted of feudal kingdoms that fought one another for dominance.
