Purvis, Larry

Larry Purvis was one of 14 people abducted by the crew of the Betty while they were still in their cryotubes. They were brought aboard the research vessel Auriga where they were impregnated with Xenomorph embryos by United Systems Military scientists Dr. Wren and Dr. Gediman. However, only 13 of the embryos birthed as expected, with the one inside the perpetually-nervy Larry Purvis not bursting from his chest until a while later. Purvis died aboard the Betty minutes before it left the Auriga when the chestburster exploded out of him. However, he didn't go alone. Purvis' final heroic act was to make sure he took the treacherous Dr. Wren with him when he perished, thereby ensuring the escape of his friends.
