Rachel Quest

Dr. Rachel Wildey Quest was the wife of Dr. Benton Quest and mother of Jonny. Her father was rancher Doug Wildey. She was a biologist and like her husband was employed with Intelligence 1. After reports came in from Peru about mutants infesting the jungle, the Quests went to investigate and found out that the mutants were created by toxic runoff from Dr. Zin's volcano lair where the ailing scientist was performing cloning experiments. Rachel and Benton were kidnapped by Zin's guards and brought to the lair. Jonny followed with Race Bannon and Hadji Singh, and staged an attack against the base.

The fighting kicked off a chain reaction which caused the active volcano to begin erupting. During the attack, Rachel and her husband got free but she was seized by one of Zin's perfected clones and flown away on a hovercraft trying to reach Zin's escape helicopter. Benton attempted to shoot Zin's clone but he used Rachel as a human shield, and Dr. Quest couldn't pull the trigger. Taunting Quest for a coward, the clone forced Rachel aboard the helicopter and attempted to take off. They didn't get far before an explosion made the pilot lose control, and the helicopter flew out of control and landed in the molten lava, killing everyone aboard, including Rachel.
