Biography
Radek Zelenka was a male Czech scientist who lived in the modern age. (SGA: Thirty-Eight Minutes)
He was noted to had joined the Atlantis Expedition as they travelled through the Stargate to the Pegasus Galaxy where they discovered the lost city of Atlantis. Dr. Zelenka was later in the Puddle Jumper bay after an incident trapped Major Sheppard's gate ship at the mouth of an orbiting Stargate. Radek was testing subroutines on a parked Jumper in order to find the command that would help retract the drive pods of the ship in order to help his compatriots before the Stargate closed its event horizon following its maximum 38 minute window. Zelenka was with Dr. McKay in the Jumper bay where Rodney came to find a new command within the systems of the gate ship. Looking to see it, Radek had accidentally activated the command which opened the roof doors of the hanger thus allowing the Jumpers to explore the planet. (SGA: Suspicion)
He was among those people at Atlantis who recorded messages for family or loved ones back at home that were to be transmitted via the Stargate though he was questioned on whether they had security clearance for access to this information. (SGA: Letters from Pegasus)
Both Zelenka and McKay then hatched upon a new strategy for the defence of Atlantis namely the use of the LaGrangian Point satellite. The pair had determined that the damaged weapon platform could be repaired and that a Naquadah reactor could be used to power it. Thus, a mission was launched where a team headed by McKay would travel to the satellite via Puddle Jumper. During preparations, Dr. Zelenka suggested that perhaps he go on the mission whilst Rodney remained behind as he was more familiar with Atlantis's systems and that his loss would be severe for the expedition. Rodney simply took this to highlight his importance and decided to continue on the mission leading to a short argument between the pair. However, McKay asked Zelenka to watch over the city whilst he was away with Radek agreeing to do so. (SGA: The Siege, Part 1)
