- Rahzar was created by Kevin Eastman and Stephen R. Bissette where he featured in the setting of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
- The character was an original creation for the 1991 live-action film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze.

Television
- In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Razar appeared in the 1987 animated television series he was voiced by actor Townsend Coleman.
- In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, a variation of Rahzar appeared in the 2012 animated television series where he was voiced by Clancy Brown. This version was Chris Bradford who was a celebrity martial artist who was a servant of the Shredder. After displeasing his master, he turned into a mutation thus making him into Dogpound where over time he came to be exposed to even more mutagen which transformed him into a stronger wolf-like form with him taking the name Rahzar.
Films
- In Turtles Forever, a character resembling Tokka appeared in the setting of the 2009 animated television film that was a tie-in to the 2003 animated television series. He was shown as being one of the human followers of the Utrom Ch'rell who transformed him using 1987 animated series mutagen into a mutant soldier.

- In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time, Rahzar appeared in the 1991 Konami arcade game where he was voiced by actor Frank Welker.
