Biography

Roussel Dupont

Rapido joined Batroc's Brigade, who were hired to steal the Harvester Protocol, a software and nanoware that could render any technology useless while gathering information and schematics from the technology it corrupted. Rapido joined Batroc's Brigade in an attack on a weapons expo in Madripoor to steal the Harvester Protocol. They had a run-in with Captain America and Iron Man, who had been after their secret employer Kashmir Vennema. Iron Man knocked out Rapido with a repulsor blast. After Kashmir revealed herself to Batroc as their secret employer she used the Harvester Protocol against Iron Man and Captain America, leaving both at the mercy of Batroc's Brigade. (Captain America and Iron Man v1 #633) Due to the Harvester Protocol Rapido lost control over his gun arm, firing blindly at everyone. Kashmir called it a sufficient test of the Harvester Protocol and told Batroc to help her get away, which he complied with after he was paid. Rapido was in shock because his gun arm was severely damaged, but Zaran promised him they would buy him a new one. Using jet packs provided by Kashmir Batroc's Brigade and Kashmir escaped. A.I.M. provided Rapido with an upgraded gun arm. Rapido re-joined Batroc's Brigade when Iron Man and Captain America found Kashmir and her allies of A.I.M., led by MODOK 2.0. (Captain America and Iron Man v1 #634) Using his new gun arm Rapido fired energy blasts at Captain America, who blocked them with his shield then knocked him out with the same shield. Rapido remained unconscious during the remainder of the battle and was ultimately wrapped up in a steel girder by Iron Man along with Machete and Zaran. (Captain America and Iron Man v1 #635)
