Biography

Geoffrey Crawford was a male human born in the modern age where by adulthood he came to be a Professor of Physics at Desert State University in Navapo, New Mexico. In those years, he came to mentor a young undergraduate named Bruce Banner and was one of his inspirations. For a long time, Geoffrey Crawford Years later, Crawford came to suffer from a sickness that progressed and led to him being confined to a wheelchair though he maintained work on finding a cure. Months ago, it was reported that Robert Bruce Banner was actually the Hulk with Crawford at first shocked at this news. Since then, Banner had been on Crawford's mind as he came to consider a possible cure through Bruce's alter-ego the Hulk. (Rampaging Hulk v2 #2)

After becoming a gamma mutation, he decided that he would take the appellation of Ravage as he thought it was an appropriate name. (Rampaging Hulk v2 #2)

Crawford had said said that he was a big Star Trek fan and that it led to his development of his Telepod System. (Rampaging Hulk v2 #2)

He had been a mentor to Bruce Banner when the man was an undergraduate at Desert State University. In fact, Crawford was said to had been one of Banner's inspirations. (Rampaging Hulk v2 #2)

After his disease manifested, he felt that his life was destroyed and that his condition would deteriorate until he died. Crawford was desperate to find a cure as he wanted to be healthy and vital once again. Upon becoming a gamma mutation, the strength and power was greater than he had ever dreamed possible. (Rampaging Hulk v2 #2)

Powers and abilities

Despite his illness, his mind was active and still worked to find a solution to his condition. (Rampaging Hulk v2 #2)

He was the developer of a Telepod System whereby matter was converted into energy and transferred to another location where it was reconstituted into matter again. The system took the form of a primary pod that converted the matter into energy and a receiver pod that restored it to its original form. He had test the machines with rats where the process worked every time with Professor Crawford effectively created complete teleportation of living creatures with no ill effects. (Rampaging Hulk v2 #2)

Crawford later transformed himself into a gamma mutation after mapping Bruce Banner's genetic structure and using his telepod to impart it on himself. The mutated DNA codes applied to himself gave him similar traits as the Hulk which included invulnerability, super-strength, immunity to all known diseases, healing and regenerative powers. This allowed him to cure himself of his disease making him health and strong once again where he gained superhuman abilities as a result. Unlike the Hulk, he retained his mind in addition to having his enhanced body making him a dangerus foe. (Rampaging Hulk v2 #2)
