History
The Red Scholars were an ancient order of mages, scribes and scholars who had existed for hundreds of years with their origin predating that of the Lords of Ice. During its founding, their goal was simply curiosity and the pursuit of lost knowledge. In time, this changed to a quest to confront the Lords of Ice and defeat them. This saw them creating a relic designed to defeat the Lords of Ice and their Deadarmy with this artifact being protected by the Pure-Blades where they took shelter in an ancient temple in order to remove the power of their enemy. Many surviving Humans and Elves saw the Red Scholars as the last chance for Vertiel to have a peaceful future.
