History
The Renegades were a criminal organizations of GoBots that were established on the planet of GoBotron. Their origins were traced to thousands of years ago hen a civil war erupted on their homeworld in the Proxima System. During this time, the native GoBeings were a human-like organic race when a power hungry terrorist group formed by the Master Renegade came to strike against the peaceful Guardians.
During the assault, the Master Renegade betrayed Cy-Kill and disabled him with his hand weapon. This allowed himself to force control over the Renegades and he ordered an assault on Gobotron to make the planet under his rule. At this point, the Guardians attacked Roguestar with the Last Engineer's Powersuits where during this distraction Cy-Kill managed to regain consciousness after which he knocked out the Master Renegade.
Overview
In appearance, the Renegades were rogue members of the GoBot race who transitioned from organic beings to mechanical ones. Their aim was the conquest of GoBotron and the defeat of the Guardians.
One of the divisions among the Renegades was the Goon Squad that consisted largely of mutant GoBots.
After being driven from GoBotron, the Renegades came to operate from a large starship called Roguestar that served as their mobile headquarters. It was capable of maintaining squadrons of Thrusters that were spacecraft capable of intergalactic travel which the Renegades used to conduct their attacks.
