Biography

Rick Tyler

A young Rick during his childhood wanted his father to spent time with him but Rex Tyler was often busy with other matters and could not devote time to being with his son. (JSA v1 #65)

He was on a trip travelling across Europe when he headed back home where his father had had hoped to steer him into a medical career. (Infinity Inc. v1 #20)

Remaining within the Timepoint, the critically wounded Rick lay dying within the frozen moment in time. This was until his father Rex had assembled a team that included Jay Garrick, Michael Holt, Pieter Cross and the Hourman android. They journeyed into the Timepoint using the android Hourman's timeship where they performed surgery to repair the injuries to his body. Upon regaining consciousness, Rick was determined to let his father live and decided to take his place in history in the battle against Extant as Hourman was destined to die in the fight. (JSA v1 #65)
