  • In Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr, a Rogue Trader appeared as a supporting character in the setting of the 2018 action role-playing video game. The players Inquisitor was assisted by Ragna van Wynter who came from a respected family of Imperial Privateers known as the Van Wynter Clan that operated in the Caligari Sector. They roamed Imperial space in search of Chaos or Xenos vehicles to plunder and working closely with the Inquisition. However, everything changed when her father Captain Hermann van Wynter was accused of trafficking in heretical artifacts and killed by an Inquisitor of the Ordo Hereticus named Helena Gosnar. In reality, the accusation by the Caligari Conclave was due to the plot of the Chaos Space Marines of the Word Bearers Traitor Legion for dealing in demonic artifacts. Following this the whole family fell victim to the great purge, and a few of its members fled to the farthest corners of the Void in the sector. Among the survivors was Ragna van Wynter who was the daughter of Hermann van Wynter where he left his child in the care of his most trusted man Nathaniel Grexus. A treasured item of the clan was the van Wynter Logbook that also detailed the truth behind their fall. Ragna would later command a ship of her own where she was taken into the service of the players Inquisitor character assisting him in uncovering the mystery behind the Martyr commanded by Uther Tiberius whilst also hoping to have her family cleared of Inquisitorial heretical charges.
  • In Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, the Rogue Traders featured in the setting of the 2023 isometric turn-based tactical role-playing game. Theodora von Valancius was the ruling matriarch of the family looking for inheritors for her legacy with the player character being among those selected. Ultimately, Lady Theodora was killed due to the Chaos-aligned conspiracy of her Master of Whispers leading to the player character succeeding her as the child of the house. As child of the house, the Rogue Traders status was determined by the Warrant of Trade located in the Warrant Chamber and protected by the archeotech machine spirit known as the Warrant Sentinel.
