History
The Safeguard was a program that operated within the large complex structure known as the (City (Blame!)|City]]. Following the plague, the Net Terminal Gene was lost from the human population that caused the system to register mankind as intruders in the City. As intruders, the Safeguard came into operation where it made a concerted effort to eliminate all presence of humans in the City. Across the City, the various structures of the City kept an eye out for signs of humans whereupon the robotic constructs of the Safeguard were deployed to exterminate them.
Overview
Safeguard was a program that was a completely independent defensive system that sought to protect the NetSphere. As a result, it sought to eliminate any unregistered intruders that sought access to the NetSphere and exterminate such individuals that resided on the Cit without a Net Terminal Gene.
It can transmute any part of the City for its purposes. It can also transform humans into its soldiers.
A key feature for the Safeguard were the watchtowers that littered the City. These structures contained numerous optical features and were fixed either on the wall or ceiling where they scanned for intruders. Upon detecting intruders, their optical sensors turned from bright blue to red where they emitted an electrical field that impacted the ground around them. From there, the watchtower formed from local matter a number of exterminators to eliminate the threat. The destruction of the watchtower prevented further robotic exterminators from being created.
