Biography
Sakura Kinomoto (Japanese: 木之本 桜, Hepburn: Kinomoto Sakura)
A student in the town of Tomoeda, Japan, Sakura Kinomoto was originally nine years old when she began her journey as the Cardcaptor, an unintentional student of the mystical deceased magus Clow. Breaking the seal on his spellbook, she released several powerful spirits from their prison in the form of tarot cards, which then went out to cause chaos and havoc in her hometown. Working alongside the two familiars of the book, Cerberus and Yue, Sakura set out to capture each of the cards and restore their seals, gaining their abilities for her own use in the process. It took four years, but Sakura succeeded in capturing, and sealing, each of the Clow Cards, as well as transforming them into her own creation, Sakura Cards, further increasing her abilities with them.

Personality and attributes
In appearance, Sakura Kinomoto was a female human with short brown hair, short all-round with 2 raised partings, 2 curved ahoges, and 2 long thin strands on sides, and emerald green eyes. In certain manga sketches and official artwork, this sometimes changes. In addition to her anime hair and eyes, her hair is sometimes colored auburn, her eyes are sometimes colored grey or blue, and her skin is sometimes snow white. As a child, she is naturally short in height, but slowly grows as the years pass by.
Sakura is a very energetic and cheerful ten-year-old girl. She often comes across as naïve, clumsy, dense and clueless. However, she has her perceptive moments on occasion and cheerfulness is one of her best qualities. She is on the cheer squad, and very athletic, being a member of her school's cheer-leading squad and an excellent runner, a trait she inherited from her father.
Powers and abilities
During the last of Eriol's trials, she is able to transform the last remaining eight Clow Cards into Sakura Cards at once. In the aftermath of this final battle it is revealed that Clow Reed reincarnated into two people; the first being Sakura's father, the second being Eriol. Clow Reed designed it this way as to split his power to allow Sakura to become the strongest magician in the world, even greater than himself.
