Biography

Satan (Japanese: 青焔魔, Hepburn: Satan)

Before, he appeared as nothing more than small specs of blue light, and was called a Rinka, along with many other names depending on region. He would randomly appear around the world with no reasoning, thus causing many to have different interpretations of him. Many different descriptions of a Rinka included dead souls, the fires of hell, fairies, and temporary forms of sacred foxes. During this time, Rinka had no conscious. Rinka was first fully brought into Assiah roughly 19 years ago. His ego sprouted into the strongest clone the research facility made, that clone was meant for Lucifer but unbeknownst to the other Demon Kings, they had no idea who it was that possessed the body meant for Lucifer. By the time they realised, it was too late. Rinka escaped the facility and quickly found Yuri. After being taken back to the facility, he was looked after by Yuri, as she was the only one he would listen to. Yuri would being him books and toys, but after 1 year and 3 months he started becoming bored with them. In an attempt to expand how world view, Yuri brought Shiro along with her to play with Rinka. The demon was immediately distrustful of Shiro and grew to hate the exorcist quickly. The next day, Rinka took a guard hostage and demanded to be given more books for the guard's safety. After several hours Yuri approached Rinka in an attempt to convince him to let the guard go, only for the demon to nonchalantly kill the guard and explain to Yuri that he had come to the conclusion that he was the Demon God Satan. Fleeing from Section 13, Satan was in hiding for at least sixth months before his body began failing, prompting his return to the Asylum.

Overview

Personality and attributes

In appearance, Satan was most often represented as an immense, otherworldly figure surrounded by flames of an unnatural blue color that consumed everything in their path. When possessing humans, his presence distorted their bodies with burning eyes and twisting features until their vessels crumbled from the strain. His full manifestation within Gehenna depicted him as a colossal being of flame and darkness, with shifting demonic features that dwarfed human perception.

Satan’s personality was domineering, cruel, and supremely arrogant. He considered humans utterly beneath him, existing only as fragile vessels incapable of withstanding his power. His treatment of Shiro Fujimoto and his manipulation of Yuri Egin reflected his lack of empathy or restraint, caring only for his own goals of dominion. Yet, despite his overwhelming strength, his fixation on his sons, especially Rin, showed a mixture of possessiveness and a twisted sense of fatherhood, as he regarded them as extensions of himself rather than individuals.

Powers and abilities

As the ruler of Gehenna, Satan’s physiology was entirely demonic and beyond the limits of Assiah. His flames, known as the Blue Flames, were his most destructive trait, incinerating anything they touched and corrupting the world around them. His existence was so powerful that he could not fully manifest in the human world without destroying his vessel, as no mortal body could contain his essence for long. His natural resilience and regenerative capacity made him virtually impossible to destroy within Gehenna, and his control over lesser demons emphasized his status as the ultimate source of their power.
