Biography
Sekiro (隻狼) was a male human who was born centuries ago in the land of Japan. Around 2 decades ago, he seemingly came to be orphaned when Isshin Ashina initiated a coup and looked to reclaim his clan's homeland. Alone, the young boy was approached by a Great Shinobi called Owl who named the child Wolf and adopted him. Owl served as a foster father and trained the young Wolf in the shinobi ways alongside several other mentors which included Lady Butterfly.
Sekiro thus became the bodyguard to the Divine Heir Kuro whose lineage meant that he was to be bequeathed the Dragon's Heritage. This blessing granted immortality to its holder and to those of their choosing.
The attack on the Hirata Estate led to Sekiro being killed as a result but Kuro came to share his power with the shinobi thus reviving him and even gifting him the ability to return from death. However, Kuro was then captured by Genichiro Ashina who sought the power of the Dragon's Heritage for himself in an effort to become immortal and save his besieged homeland. Sekiro attempted to aid Kuro in escaping but he was intercepted by Genichiro who cut off the shinobi's left arm where the blood loss caused him to lose consciousness. Upon awakening, he fought himself at a run-down temple occupied by a sculptor who provided him an advanced prosthetic to replace his left arm and one that could aid a shinobi in combat. Thus, Sekiro set forth to the Ashina castle again and intended to face Genichiro once again as well as rescue the Divine Heir.
