After drinking some of Alexander Corvinus's blood, Selene was changed even more so as she became a true immortal that was beyond that of an ordinary vampire. A notable trait afforded to her new hybrid nature was the capacity to survive in sunlight without any harm.

- According to Kevin Grevioux, Selene was based loosely on the Marvel Comics character Selene.
