History
The Sentients were a mechanical race of constructs developed long ago during the era of the Orokin Empire. Memory fragments indicated that they were originally terraforming tools that were bound for the Tau System. These machines were crafted to adapt to any sort of damage done to them and to replicate themselves from damaged components. During their travel, they were exposed to the Void which came to 'poison' them and interfered with their ability to adapt and replicate. In this time, they gained sentience where they came to realise that their creators would lay waste to Tau as they had done to Earth.
A colossal Sentient was known to had descended upon ancient Er in order to bring destruction to the Orokin. It was known that many Towers fell to its weapons until only the Tower of the Unum remained with the Tenno commanded to scatter by the Lotus. During this time, the Sentient had captured an Unum and dissected it where it learnt about the nature of the lone surviving Tower. Though its kind could no longer procreate, the Sentient sensed that within the Tower had the potential to heal and thus restore its race. As a result, the Sentient decided to no longer destroy the Tower but rather become one with it and thus restore its capacity to reproduce. However, a single Tenno remained behind by the name of Gara who sought to destroy it to protect the Unum and attacked the entity when it was weakest. Upon finally finding it, she managed to shatter the Sentient leaving the mindless Teralysts monstrosities behind in its wake that were all that remained of the entity which walked the plains.
Overview
It was said to possess a titanic mass that cast a long shadow over the lands when it came to a world.
A consequence of the encounter meant that the Sentients lost the ability to reproduce.
The Sentients were considered a distant memory by most of the Origin System's population.

Members
- Hunhow : referred to as the Sentient destroyer of worlds who was sent to destroy the Orikin in the Origin System leaving him stranded there. Upon arriving, he replicated a child named Natah who was sent to infiltrate the system and destroy the Tenno from within but she ended up taking the side of the Tenno.
